Lansing Lugnuts, Clothing Drive (February 15th) 

A really quick update/reminder before this week's meeting

  • For those of you interested in joining us for the Lansing Lugnuts Game April 7th 2010  please bring the appropriate funds and form to turn in at this week's meeting. If you never received the form or are just now learning of the event grab a copy of the form here or if you prefer you can pay online by clicking the button below. 
  • And remember this week we are accepting donations for The Student Alumni Foundation clothing drive, the items will be donated to the City Rescue Mission of Lansing for more information check out this flier
  • We would like to commend those of you who have been volunteering week in and week out at the MSU Student Food Bank. The Detroit Free Press recently published an article spotlighting the incredible service, where is available to read online here.

News (February 12th) 

Our third meeting of the semester is upon us, this Wednesday February 17th. We will be meeting in room 472, food will be served starting at 7:00 PM and the meeting will officially begin at 7:30 PM. 

Our speaker will be Mark A. Anderson, Esq. a few quicks facts about him: 

  • Partner at McGinty, Hitch, Housefield, Person, Yeadon & Anderson, P.C. 
  • Education: Alma College (B.A., 1976); Thomas M. Cooley Law School (J.D., 1980).
  • Areas of practice: workers' compensation, insurance defense, Immigration and Nationality Law. Ingham County mediator.
We've also got a fun survey for members to fill out and in exchange for your time we are offering one point for those who take the time to do it. Click here to take survey

 

We are also still exploring the idea of ordering sashes for graduating seniors as well as juniors and sophomores who may be interested in the idea. Those of you who are interested please feel free to send an e-mail or mention it at the upcoming meeting.

News (February 2nd) 

This week our meeting will be held on February 3rd food will be provided beginning at 7:00 PM in the MSU College of Law (472). We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker Mr. Richard J. Garcia the Presiding Circuit Court Family Judge, a bit of information about our speaker

  • Education: University of Michigan, J.D.
  • Probate Court Judge, Lansing, MI
  • Adjunct Professor of Law

 Of course attending an event gives you one participation point for the semester, active members are required to obtain ten throughout each semester. Remember you can now pay for your dues online,  We will also pass along information on future volunteer events and bar crawl. 

For those of you who have already purchased t-shirts, have you worn them around? got pictures? please send them to us, we need models for our online store feel free to send us pictures that will be featured on the site!

News (January 19th) 

Welcome back folks, we hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and new years celebrations. 

A brief update on what we've been working on since we last met:

This Wednesday is our first meeting of the semester! Join us as welcome Mr. Thomas Yeadon who specializes in criminal law. The meeting will take place in the MSU College of Law, food and drink will be provided beginning at 7:00PM while the meeting will kick off at 7:30PM. 

Online dues payments are finally here! That's right, and soon you will be able to purchase all the t-shirts and quaffers your heart desires via our online store. 

Speaking of T-Shirts! we have finally received this years shirt, designed by our members it will be available for purchase this Wednesday for the low cost of $10. 

A few points opportunities are available, remember you can volunteer at the MSU Food Bank next wednesday, you can also speak in front of your classes, and lastly bring a friend to this weeks meeting. You can also put up fliers for this weeks meeting, which can be downloaded here  If you are going to the MSU Food Bank or speaking in front of your class remember to get this form filled out.
